About me

Susy Caracas is a single mother of two young adults with a deep passion for helping children grow, develop, and learn to express themselves. She became a Certified Lactation Educator in 2024, following 15 months of study, client and colleague evaluations, and multiple trainings under prestigious institutions such as CAPPA. Susy’s services are available to families in Orange County, California.

With over 18 years of experience in the birth world, I am a passionate and dedicated professional providing families with the nurturing support they need during one of the most transformative times of their lives. As a Certified Postpartum Doula, I specialize in helping new parents adjust to life with their newborn, ensuring they feel confident, supported, and well-rested.

I am also a Certified Newborn Care Specialist and Certified Lactation Educator, with my most recent certification earned in 2024 after 15 months of rigorous training. My extensive background includes working alongside prestigious institutions like CAPPA, and I am Certified in Gentle Sleep Conditioning, providing expert guidance to help families establish healthy sleep patterns for their babies.

In addition to my professional work, I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with organizations such as Latino Health Access, Postpartum Support International, and the Joy in Birthing Foundation, where I’ve supported underserved communities with care and compassion. I currently sit on the board as the Director of Community Affairs for the US Nanny Association, a position I’ve proudly held for the past four years.

I am also the co-founder of Cuidando Ángeles NCS LLC, where I help provide accredited courses for Newborn Care Specialists in Spanish, empowering the next generation of Caregivers.

At Baby & Doula Care, my goal is simple: to create a nurturing and loving environment for families and their babies, offering them the tools, support, and confidence to thrive during the postpartum period.
